Chavo - When are you looking to get this done?
Jester - Sadly I do not have enough practice working with plastic forming and fabrication to feel comfortable being paid for that sort of job. Havent quite had the time to undertake projects like that.
As far as custom goes, I was talking more along the lines of tuning an m14 into a DMR, and projects like that.

How do you justify $45 for a "basic tune up?" I mean sure shimming can take awhile but the rest of the stuff included takes 5 minutes to do!

Ok, here goes:
Shims $4 Lube $2 Washers for AoE $2
Part total $8
Dissasembly 10 min Cleaning mechbox + inspecting all parts 15 min Shimming 30 min Dremel work 5 min Piston assembly 5 min Assemble part way to test 10 min Finish assemble 10 min Chrono 5 min
Total time~ 1.5 hrs
Standard airsoft shops charge $40/ hr
At $25/ hr my charge is ~ $37.5
$37.5 + $8 = $45.5
This doesn't take into account nit picky things such as cleaning paper, bbs for testing, ect and this also included my guarantee that if something goes wrong I fix it, period. Usually I also make sure the hop system is looking good and don't charge people the full $45. You can ask anyone who has bad me work on their guns and I am willing to bet they are satisfied.

He is a professional among amateurs. Maybe he can get a job with ASGI or Evike! Wouldn't that be the bee's knees!
