KZoo Crew Spring Event: The Battle for Breedland IV This is not your normal run of the mill event. This is a once in a lifetime event that you won't want to miss. Link: battle-for-breedland-ii.webs.com/Date: May 28th thru 29th 2011 Where: Apocolypse Paintball, Poynette WI Who: To all KZoo Members Camo: Woodland BDUs – NO EXCEPTIONS Cost: Veterans of Prior Breedland Events: $45.00 Non-Veterans - $55.00 We will be doing the Early Bird Group Registration which opens up on March 25th, 2011, and will end on April 15th, 2011. After this time the price goes up to $65.00 so it is in our best interest to get this in ASAP. Payments for the group registration will need to go to Sev through paypal. Paypal is militaryopsairsoft@yahoo.com once he has gotten your payment he will confim that he has gotten it by sending you a pm on the forum and updating the roster on the forum as well. Sev will be requesting information from all players that have hard confirmed that they are going within the next few weeks. Please give him all needed information that he is asking for, as to not hold up our registration. If you are under 18 and would like to attend this event, you need to talk to one of the following KZOO Crew Members: Sev and or Archrival. They are Veterans of this event and you will need them to vouch for you. Please be sure to read ALL of the Battle for Breedland website for all needed information. If you have any questions please post them on the forum and Sev will get to them as quick as he can. Lodging: We will be staying at Smoke Hollow Campgrounds which are right down the road from where the event is being held. We will be staying in what is called a yurt. These have power, TV’s, full size refrigerators so they are very nice. These also sleep 6 to 12, so we will have plenty of room. We have stayed there every year that we have gone to this event and others that are held here. smokeyhollowcampground.com/Sev will need to have solid numbers for this as well so that he can get this reserved for us ASAP. He will have cost breakdown for this by the end of March. Again once payment breakdown is complete for each member going you will need to send the money to Sev. To help cut down on cost Sev, will be providing some ammo and bringing a tool box so that way we won’t have 4-5 different tool boxes out on this one. This also helps cut down on space for packing. Sev will be posting a gear list up here in the next few days as he’s got the experience in this event, I would suggest you try and follow this best you can. Car Pooling: I highly suggest that we do this to cut down on the amount of cars that are there on site as parking is limited. Sev will have a minivan which he is leaving early on the 27th which is a Friday and he will not be coming back till the mid afternoon on the 30th which is a Monday. He will post more on this within the coming weeks. The KZOO Bus will also be driving to this but will be heading back Sunday after the event. I will start a roster for car pooling as well. If anyone else has interest in driving please post on here so we can add you to the carpool list. How much money will you need: If you don’t figure in event cost and lodging, I highly suggest you bring between $50-$100 extra for this one. If you have any questions post them here and Sev will answer the as soon as he can. Lets do this KZOO Crew!!!!

I'm not knocking the event or anything, but this sounds a little expensive to be our spring event.
Cost of events has never been an issue for me before, but I don't think I'm willing to spend ~200 and take a 7 hour drive.
Also, munster your link doesn't work.

Yes it breaks down to about a 5hr trip. I know you can fill up before you leave and once at the "suicide McDonalds" and you will be fine for the rest of the trip.

To Spaz and Ratchet - This is why when I posted this around the end of last year to start saving then for this event.
You can look at it like this if you would like.
Event Cost: $55.00 for 2 days of play Saturday and Sunday with a Night game on Saturday, Sunday ending around 4pm, and lunch being provided as well on Sunday.
Ammo/Green Gas: I provide this for the most part as a way to cut down on cost per player.
Camping: Once we get the solid numbers this will be broken down and comes to around $30-$40 per person, and get this you will be paying me so i can give you some time to pay me back on this.
Experince: I can tell you that there is nothing in this state that rivals this event right here. You will walk away with a whole new look on airsoft/milsim.
Awsome time: Some of the best times I have had have been at this event and just getting to know everyone better.
If you guys are needing some help on something for this event let me know through pm and I will do what I can to help you out.
Sev

The reason we chose this as the Spring Event is for all the reasons Sev has listed above. Plus, a few more: Archrival has been there and raved about it Last Year's Spring Event, the Battle For Durbond, was perhaps the best-run (Non-Kzoo) game in the state all year. Task Force Iris does not appear to be interested in hosting it again this year. We want to keep our standards very, very high. Honestly, this is the closest "Elite Event" for spring. I would rather drive a bit and have a great experience than go shoot a bunch of chairsofters all day. This is the vision for the future. Airsoft of Kalamazoo, and subsequently, Airsoft of Michigan, is making the commitment to support its players by offering only the best events with the best reputations. You will see these "Travel Events" more frequently in the future, allowing our players to compete with the best players in the country. Believe me, we are ready for this. Link Fixed BTW! mapq.st/gJpRAw

Sneaky-poo and I are interested in attending this event. We will be riding the bus. I will have the money in a few weeks. We need Sev to vouch for Tyler (Sneaky-poo), he is only 16. Thanks, Dill

For those of you that think this is so expensive, this a great time for this event. Right around tax time so hit your parents up now. And get them to give you the money!

We will allow players who are not on the Crew to roll with us at this event! Wouldn't mind getting you some training at the Airhouse beforehand, though! Can't have ya gettin' smoked right off the bat, y'know!
