Let me be the first to thank the entire green team for their efforts! We held back the rebels and the rangers pretty well. Congratulations! You guys were great. And thank the army rangers for hitting us pretty hard. Good fight.
Congrats on great sportsmanship and communication!
Hope you all had an amazing game. I know I sure had a great experience!
Sincerely, Nate/Colt Grunt C.O.

Agreed, great game. Just curious as to why second prize was two real kevlar CVC helmets and first prize was a spring MP40 pistol....? It just seems.... odd. I mean, Im not complaining, this helmet is rad as hell.
Also, great job being our CO, Colt.

Let personally thank you Colt for being our CO. Today was my first outdoor milsim and I had a frikin blast!!! I ran my butt off. I shot a bunch of people and got shot a bunch. I even gave Spaz a couple love taps in the back. Hehe The rangers really fought well as a unit. Kinda knew that would happen. My highlight of the day was the push five or so of us made on the civilian city. I was pretty wiped out by the last game. Ran out of juice on that one. Had good time on the ride over and back with Crockett, Great guy!
Looking forward to splatmandu

Had a blast, Good job green and ACU.
TO all my rebel fighters, we put on a good fight. My highlight for the day was when we took both flags and hung them on base for all to see. Thanks for a good game AOK.
My only down was all the people leaving early. I really wish people would stay. It jacks up the games for others.

Final Scores:
1st Place: Army Rangers, 270 Points
Ref's Notes: This team did an exceptional job of completing all their missions, which eventually won it for them. They were weak on the all-day objective (CIA 14) but still managed to pull that together toward the end. They also recieved lower scores in Sportsmanship, but high marks in communication and tactical movement.
2nd Place: Izmazlovskaya Grunts, 207.5 Points
Ref's Notes: What a job during the first half of the game. Your team defended CIA 14 very well. You lost points for being caught with loose ammo. You also had many players whose guns went down in the last 2 hours of play and ended up having to leave early. But I give you all the props in the world because 3 of your players were roaming the field with no gun looking for knife kills half the day.
3rd Place: Ukrainian Rebels, 170 Points
Ref's Notes: You did a great job of completing missions all day. I was very happy with the performance of many younger, inexperienced players on your team. But you had some very heroic rushes from experienced players as well. Moped did a nice job as CO. Your downfall was the same as the Grunts, many player's guns went down and had to leave in the last 2 hours. But afterward many of your players were still rushing harder than anyone, there was just not enough of you to make that final push... Kind of like real Rebels.

Amazing game! I had a blast from start to finish on this one. I'd like to give a shout out to all the players today! I had a great time shooting you and getting shot (Toe-knee excluded haha).
Rangers Lead the Way!
I...am...SO very impressed and proud of the Army Rangers! I had the pleasure of leading multiple squads and I must say the level of dedication and all around skill of my team was amazing. Most of the time verbal commands were unneeded which just makes my day.
My highlight of the day is when we had about 6 Rangers flank into the Village unseen to hold it for objectives and many...MANY kills with 0 casualties. Proud of you guys, you make my job easy.
Started off a pretty rough for the Rangers, then we realized it was 90 vs 20 with some sort of alliance. Even through that we pushed to take the Bus base for about 15 minutes! As the day progressed we completed objective after objective swiftly and efficiently (as Rangers should!). At many points we were able to complete a side objective and shift forces to push at the Bus base again. After many attempts we were rewarded with success and the good ol' Red White and Blue was flying high for the rest of the day!
The day ended with an intense "King of the Hill" Mission for all teams. I must say this was another proud moment for the Rangers. Sliding in with single minded purpose we took the village in one push and held it strongly!
As always I enjoy running with The oneshot crew, Kilroy and Kazz... It helps to know that I can count on you guys without worry. As for the other Rangers I am unfamiliar with, I hope to be on your side in future Milsims.
Props to the Civilian and Green team for putting up some stiff resistance!
Great reffing, anytime I needed a ref, one was present and helpful.
Best Milsim I have attended to date. See you all at Splatmandu guys!

You know Spaz, Russian flag is red while and blue too. =P But all in all, ACU did great. Held us back pretty well for a while there. I thought it was funny, myself being one of the three with no gun making knife kills, that we had so many breakdowns and people leaving. It did leave me, being the C.O., kinda short handed and out-gunned by the other teams. I believe we held out pretty darn well with what we had up til the end. Great job to all teams.
p.s. two of the three, excluding myself, was using a lightsaber. Gotta give props for originality and persistance for all us "knifers"!

Had a great time yesterday, considering it was my first legitimate event. Thanks Tino and the others for putting on a great event that seemed well-ran and stayed within the set times. Recommending everyone show up @ 10 was a great idea.
Also a HUGE thanks to mopedman for loaning me his shotgun when my gearbox locked up, which would've effectively ended my day. I really, really appreciate it.
It was quite disappointing that a great deal of our team (Rebels) left around the 15:30 mark. The lack of communications seemed to lead to our demise. I'd say that after the few hours, all but a handfull of people stopped using their radios.
The field, on the other hand, was great. There were both some great shooting lanes, and some great cover. It did get noticeably colder midway, but really wasn't an issue. At least the rain held off. I would say the only drawback to the field was the ice around the house. I witnessed a lot of people fall, myself included. A few people seemed to get injured from it, but overall it was something to laugh about when you happened to go down. Can't wait to play there again.
I seemed to be one of the many victims of the dreaded blue lightsaber. Low on ammo, and armed with the shotgun, two grunts surrounded, and I eventually got knifed. I seriously laughed my ass off when I saw him wielding the lightsaber. Great idea.
Did anyone happen to take photos there?

As C.O. of the Rangers, I offer my compliments to all who gutted out the day in its entirety.
KEY PLAYERS Kazz Originally placed on Bravo as one of only two team medics, Kazz took the role of our team's only medic when Kilroy (Bravo leader) and Sev (the other medic) fell off the map. Kazz was everywhere running from squad to squad all over the field to keep our team up and moving. Kazz was key in completing our first recon objective and gathered just under 20 kills in the first ten minutes of the final objective. Kazz acted as the most effective medic that I have ever seen at any event.
Spaz X.O. and Alpha leader, Spaz showed the extraordinary leadership I expect out of every member of Cry Havoc. Spaz's amazing micro tactics and decisive action made Alpha Squad arguably our most effective resource.
Charlie Every individual in Charlie squad deserves two mentions. See below for more commentary on this exceptional squad.
Smokesnipe The first guy I have ever seen attempt to both get a throwing lightsaber kill and a full charge knife-to-knife kill. Fun stuff, man.
SQUADS Alpha Squad Effectively led by X.O. Spaz. Excellent job acting as our primary recon squad. This squad was sent on some long walks to reach ambush points and was very successful completing objectives while suffering minimal casualties.
Bravo Squad Probably our weakest squad as far as organization goes, I ended up having most of Bravo absorbed into Alpha and Delta after Bravo squad leader Kilroy and Alpha medic Sev went off to engage in random skirmishes. Excellent job by all Bravo squad members adjusting quickly and lining up with your new squads.
Charlie Squad Charlie squad was extremely reliable all day. As a team of five that never lost anybody to the weather and never needed reinforcements, this squad led the Rangers into the bus base for the first time. Excellent job to all members of Charlie squad for taking on objectives without hesitation or fear.
Delta Squad This was my squad of cannon fodder. Although probably the squad with the least amount of experience, Delts was extremely effective in keeping enemy attention, allowing Alpha and Charlie to sneak around and attack enemies mostly from the back. Excellent job by all members of Delta.
CARVIN'S COMMENTARY Not knowing the field too well, I was not surprised to have a bit of a rough start. After getting a better idea of the field, we were able to find a way to take the bus base. However, the maneuver took about an hour and left us with less than 10 defenders against roughly 90 enemies from all sides. Needless to say, our focus quickly turned to side objectives until the other teams wore down a bit.
The first key to the day was energy. Keeping high moral and excitement meant acknowledging success on the field and making clear what we were trying to accomplish. We started with 21 players and ended with 20, losing only one due to a broken weapon.
The second key was organization. With limited numbers, pushing up the middle or from any single direction as a full force would have been suicide. We found that in our first push to the bus base. In maintaining adequate organization, good communication is essential. Alpha, Charlie and Delta successfully worked together without even seeing one another for many of our team's collaborative attacks.
Excellent job to all Army Rangers.
Special thanks to Tino and Munster for once again showing the community how a milsim should be run. Clear, creative objectives and guaranteed high-octane play makes Airsoft of Kalamazoo/Airsoft of Michigan the only organization I will ever airsoft with.

Muust say I had a great time.
In reply to Carvins comment of Kilroy and I falling off the grid. We did that for two different account which served the rangers quite well. As a 3 man squad Myself, Trixter and Kilroy not only backed up Spaz and several different occasions, we also managed to come in on the back door and capture our new spawn point even before the mission objective was given out for that objective. We also held several groups from coming through the wood and coming up on our 6.
Once that was noticed we held off alot of Opfor making their way through the woods.
As for the last objective for the event, again our 3 man squad held alot of them off from coming in from the woods. as Trixter and I moved all the way up to the wood line to make sure they could not come out and get us.
Great event, I look forward to playing there again soon, as this was my first time playing there.
