Hey guys and maverick recently got an m249 from Barney and it took a giant shit first it wouldn't shoot but I think the motor was trying so I adjusted the motor height and it worked perfectly for about 10 shots then stopped firing so I unplugged then replugged the battery back in and it made a fizzing noise and the back of the battery caught a spark and I threw it off me onto the table sooooo how do I fix it I thought a new wire harness would be the answer but you never know with Airsoft guns thanks people for helping me out.

Hey man I'm sorry to hear that. I honestly never had problems with it. Did you try to replace the fuse?

I don't know the problem then. I have never had that problem. I never even had to change the fuse once.

Sounds like to me a wire is open somewhere to your motor or gearbox. Go thru the ENTIRE wiring to solve your problem. Check all your contacts also.

More than likely, it is an issue with something locking up the geartrain. This causes the motor to draw extra current on startup to attempt and cycle the gearbox, and the extra current is above your fuse rating. Personally, I would break the gun down for cleaning and tuning of the gearbox and other parts. Let me know if you need me to do this for ya.

If you do end up giving it to me, do it ASAP as I know other people will be sending me stuff last minute and I may have to order parts for you.
