Tight bor barrels- why do they have different types of tbb? i mean y not have all tbb be 6.01mm is there advantages to a 6.03mm? and disadvantages to the 6.01mm? or vise versa? and with gas airsoft guns, my friend wants to kno if there is any way to decrease a 420fps rifle into 300-350fps so he can play at the airhouse . . . like different gases for weaker shots or would heavier bbs work? and about hop ups . . . can u get better quality hopups? and what does the more quality give u? TYVM for your help =D

Tightbore barrels- 6.01's jam really easily unless you use specific brands of bb's. However they give an icrease in accuracy. 6.03 barrels are some of the more common tbb's. G&G's come stock with 6.03's. If you chose 6.03's you still get aincreased accuracy, but not as much as a 6.01.
There are different hop up's you can buy. Most guns come stock with plastic hop ups, but you can buy metal hop up units.
Hoped that helped a little.

Tell your friend Maverick can put in a lighter spring for him. Its the only way to reduce the FPS. He posted his rates right here on the forum so check that for prices.
For the Tight Bores, the tighter the bore, the more accurate but the more likely it will be to jam up. 6.01's should only be used by people who are experienced players. The 6.03 is generally considered to be a good compromise, giving better accuracy without as many jams.
For hop ups, most replicas nowadays come with a pretty decent hop unit. In my opinion, your hop unit should really only be changed if you are having a problem with it. And you will know if you're having a problem because your bb's won't go straight!

In order to lower the fps of a gas gun, you have to change the pressure of the gas being used. This can be done by using either duster gas, or changing the gun over to an external, regulated air source.
As far as TBBs go, there are many myths, here are the facts. 6.01 barrels are better for power, not so much for accuracy. They allow less air to pass by the bb, hence increasing fps. 6.08 barrels are best for accuracy as there is more of an air cushion around the bb, providing a more stable flight, however more air is lost when compared to a 6.01. Many say that the best mix between the two is a 6.03 to 6.05 barrel.
Another important thing about TBBs is the quality, consistency, and material they are made out of. The more consistent the bore of the barrel, the better your accuracy. Also, lighter materials allow more vibrations to travel the barrel and throw accuracy off. Using a heavier, more consistent barrel with provide for more accuracy and precision.
For hopups, yes there are better hopups that you can buy. What those get you is more consistency in the pressure they apply to the bb. Anywhere you can get more consistency in your rifle, the better it will shoot.

Those crawler barrels are super nice. No more wasting alot on spring adjustments and barrel replacements.
