Fuses still exploding every 300 shots or so, but now, there is also a new problem.
It is not feeding correctly. Most mags do not feed at all unless I push them up from the bottom, but I found some mags that are tight enough to work on their own. However, even when I get bbs to feed, I get double feeds almost every time on semi-auto.
I know that timing in regards to power to the motor is likely the cause of the double feeds, making the two problems possibly related.
Maverick: I know you said that you never use fuses, which may or may not solve my problem, but I am still very cautious. Is there anything you could suggest as far as bad feeding? Also, I'm having difficulties finding fuses over 20A.
I'm going to try to get a 25A fuse and use that, then, when that fails, I'm going to try a direct input. When that does not solve my feeding problem I will probably ask you to help me out with this.
Let me know what you think might be the cause(s) and what you would charge to fix this for me.

I have had feeding problems with a few different replicas. My PTS will only feed with G&P Mags. All others do the same thing you have described. You have to hold them in there to get a feed. My M249 was misfeeding also until I purchased a new CA Hop up for it, often more than one bb would feed through at once.

So a new hop-up could help the problem?

I found this while looking into my problem: www.airsoftcore.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=50692This guy seems to have the same problem I have, including the spot of damaged wire insulation. Seriously, this is dead on. The problem is that the guy with the problem, after getting advice, says he got it even though his gun clearly still has issues. I can get my gun working, but I won't stop until I get it reliable and consistent. I have re-pieced it together (the entire gun) multiple times. - The hop-up bucking is fine - It is well lubricated - There is one minor fracture in the wire insulation, but it is covered with electrical tape Any further advice is well appreciated.
