Rumor has it that yet another Halo game is in the talks, which isn't surprising I know, because they will milk this poor series for everything it's got. Anyway, Bungie though has said that they will be done with the Halo franchise (supposedly), so this game is (rumored) to be done by 343 Studios. We really have nothing to go off from them except Halo Legends, which personally I hated for many reasons, mainly inconsistences between the Halo universe and the stories in Legends.
Now, I love Halo...a lot. It was my first step into online mulitplayers. I had most fun and put more hours on Halo 3 and then ODST came out and I maybe put in a whole 10 hours on that piece of crap. Reach was supposed to be this "epic end of the end" game and to me fell short. Sure it was fun, but it was fun for a short time to me. It just didn't have that Halo feel. Plus, it was inconsistent with the Halo timeline that just really irritated me (mainly they used guns that did not exist in that time, even if they were prototypes this Spartan squad wouldn't be using them). Reach's story was good though, and I thought the game ended very well. Unfortunetly the rumor is that they will somehow be making a game about Reach again, this time more focused on the Covenant.
So, what's everyones opionions on the Halo games? Would you play a Halo game not done by Bungie? Even if it was done by Bungie are you pretty much done with the series?

I don't know about another Halo game but I do know that Bungie is teaming up with Infinity Ward to make the next Call of Duty game. Along with the next COD game Infinity Ward bought 7 trade marks and website domain names for COD Future Warfare 1-6 witch Bungie is helping make.

I like Halo games, I told my self and friends I bought Reach for multiplayer but really I have played the campaign many times and I don't ever use multiplayer other than for custom maps, also I hope for another game because there are some things I want changed with Forge World.

Halo is obviously set in the future and the guns all felt pretty good. Bringing the two together could create an awesome super power in the gaming industry. Also, I want to point out that there is also talks of a Combat Evolved rehash. They would just update it to play on the 360, hopefully not nerfing the guns or anything, also adding multiplayer. I'd definately prefer this to happen rather than another Reach game. Also, Forge can be fun...but I'm just not good with building things. I built a house on the beach once, that was fun haha. I don't do custom games at all, so Forge isn't a big deal, multiplayer and campaign is where it's at for me.
