I am looking into getting a tight bore barrel for my TM mp5a4 and I was wondering what your guys recommendations where for brands and well anything I should know. I'm just trying to tighten my BB grouping.

Madbull makes 6.01mm Tight bores, but any 6.03 will tighten them up. JBU, ASGI, Systema, G&G. You choose your price range.

I fourth the Madbull v2 Black Python. They are awesome barrels for only $35. Either that or airsoftatlanta has a few PDI barrels on clearance for a little more coin.
Personally I would buy the barrel from ASGI if you decide on the Madbull.

Its good to agree on something. I would have to second buying it from ASGI. Evike usually has everything "in stock" but its most likely back ordered. Its a crap shoot.

If you want one like now, I am considering ordering the GI mystery box tonight, and we could get free shipping.

We actually have an almost new Madbull Black Python V2 MP5A4 tightbore sitting down at the Airhouse on the tech bench. It's property of AofK but yeah Moto, talk to Munster or Tino.
I was going to use it for one of the rentals but we have other MP5 barrels. I'd rather see them sell it and reinvest the money towards other repair parts we actually need. Frankly, a rental doesn't need a Black Python V2.
Looks brand new and I'm sure they could give you better price then a new one.

Just a warning, TheEnd, who has done a lot of work on different guns and I believe worked as a gun tech at East Side Airsoft says he has had a lot of problems with the coating on madbull barrels. miairsoft.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=test&action=display&thread=38193I'm sure you'll be fine if you're careful, but it might be a good idea to take some extra steps to take care of your barrel. Clean it more regularly, make sure your bbs and mags don't get too dirty, use quality bbs, that sort of thing.

That is with the old Madbull barrels. There were alot of issues with the v1 series and the coating problem, like you said. This was corrected in the v2 series, and if you look at the majority of technical forums and from techs like myself, they are held in very high regard. I do not have a link anymore, but in testing they performed third to PDI and Prommy barrels.

Not to argue with you or anything, but TheEnd says his problems were with a V2: miairsoft.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=aeg&thread=30125&page=1On page 2 he says he's seen three different madbulls have their finish scratched. Like I said, moto probably won't have a problem, but it doesn't sound like the madbulls are impenetrable. You'll just want to baby it a little more than you would with a non-coated barrel.
