Hey, why can't I link to MIA? There's a lot of really good information in those threads that would help the OP.

Take a look at the other people's posts there. Koko and Yankee both recommended the v2, as do I. Also take a look at bigger forums such as ASF, ASR, and ASM. The majority of people on there will rave about the cost to performance ratio of the v2s and stand behind them. Just because one individual had bad luck with a product, doesnt mean that it is a bad one.
You can also look in TheEnd's post where he says that he purposely sanded the coating to test its durability, and it held up very well. No matter how nice a product is, there will always be someone who has had a bad experience.
In all honesty though, I have owned a v2 for 2 or 3 years now and I have purposely not cleaned it or anything to test it. Still performs as good as it did after break in and is an awesome barrel.
Not trying to bitch you out K-Bal, just letting you know that you cant take the opinion of one person to be fact.

But at the same time Maverick, you can't discount it entirely either. I'm nit saying that the coating will wear off of it. But it is in fact a problem that has been reported, and not by some noob who doesn't know a tight bore from a springer barrel. So that means that it is something to watch out for even if you haven't experienced it personally. Look at it this way, I own a TM M16, a gun that a lot of people rave about. Some people have reported barrel wobble with it, even though most don't seem to mention it. I haven't experienced it, and neither have a bunch of other people with the same gun. But that doesn't mean that it couldn't happen to my gun. So, I'm careful about banging around that big long barrel. Same goes for a barrel with a coating that has the potential to scratch, even if it doesn't aleays scratch. It's great that you've gotten away with it, but three other barrels weren't so lucky. So somebody with a madbull barrel might want to be carefull with it because they might not be as lucky as you. Also, I've tried hyperlinking. It still doesn't work. Not a fan of not being able to share good info. Look, even links that used to work don't. www.michiganairsoft.info/index.cgi?board=pol&action=display&thread=2102
