I was just a ref. I loved it. I wish that I was in the game. Hell the tan team and the contractors, had me confused the hole game. I didn't know if they were on the same team half the time. One min. they were helping each other the next contractors were killing them all good Job everyone! I had a blast!!! even though I didn't play. Good job on sportsmanship everyone!

it was all worth it! the commercial, the late night scheming and building sessions, EVERYTHING going haywire at the last minute, four days without sleep, all worth it. the roadcrew (we are the roadcrew, Ironangel is johns call sign and his shop's name) did their job beautifully and our people stepped up to save the day. everybody played very well, my hats off to everyone. tactically, I'll be the first to admit I didn't do much (wound up playing without my glasses, effective range 25 feet). I hope I did my part to make the event feel more real. a little story that amused me. I was at the res point with a kid of befriended, 1 minute til res. Sunshine runs up, says he needs everyone who's about to res to follow him to ...I forget the objective. young man says he's out of ammo. sure he is, but there's no time. I grab a speed loader, start slamming bbs into his high cap, 40 or 50. I tell him "this will have to do, make your shots count, go to semi auto" he stared at me wide eyed, almost in disbelief. then something clicked in him, he said "okay" put it in semi, and we took off running with sunshine. seems silly, but its little things like that made the event meaningful for me. pagan, Mikey (the shiek (a.k.a. the surprise superstar of the day)) wanted to say goodbye to you, I suggest you make up for it by saying hello at hostile takeover. tino, thank you for letting us unleash our madness on your paying customers. now, many of you are asking what can top fueling the fire? come to hostile takeover and find out.

This was an absolutely amazing event.
Had no issues with hit calling all day. Everytime i thought i hit somebody they always pulled out a dead rag.
The civilians added a new element to the game play. Which i welcomed and made the game even more interesting. I felt as if i was stepping into a different world every time i walked into the village
Goldwater made me angry all day with the ridiculous amount of backstabbing and team switching. Made me anxious anytime somebody walked by in black camo. To the point where i always had my guns hovering in their general direction.
M.A.D put up a good fight the whole day. Never letting us get an objective easily. Doing their job very well hence the extremely narrow margin of victory.
All in all an amazing event. Thanks to all who in any way helped run or organize the event.

What can I say, besides "Thanks for the great time!"
This was my FIRST time ever playing airsoft. Being a splatmandu paintballer, I took the opportunity to play another sport that involved shooting people. I had the pleasure of playing with Goldwater, and had one HELL of a time. NADIA, you guy were great. Thanks for holding me hostage, that was something Ill always remember. My call sign during the game was WildCard Leader (had black&blue paintball pants on), for those who don't know me, which is almost 100% of you. I had an amazing time, minus my ineffective pump-action shot gun, that was a pain to reload. I made several deals with NADIA and was the one who made them believe we weren't the ones who took their C.O (Thanks to whom ever played along on the radio, still never found out who that was.) One of my favorite parts was when I lead GWS to our second respawn (Not sure what you guys called it, but its the Hotel in splat lingo, right in front of NADIA respawn) and had to convince NADIA to let us stay there. I'm not one who usually deals underhandedly, but I think most of GWS got the hang of it quick. At one point in time, we had an alliance with NADIA to take the city, while having a similar alliance with MAD. Another fun moment was in the very beginning before MAD got a hold on leadership, myself and my squad walked right through MAD territory uncontested to the city, and eliminated 15+ mad in the back, giving NADIA the city.
You guy were the talk of the day on Sunday, when we had our own paintball scenario. I had the pleasure of leading my team to victory on Sunday, so a great weekend overall.
I REALLY hope you come back out soon, I would love to play again. Hopefully next time, I can do something besides be the negotiator.

Hail all!
IronAngel/John/Civilian leader and chief bottle washer here. Thanks for the kind words all! The civ population did a great job, along with our two russians, the green and tan embeds and our oil executive (sorry black, we told him to drive you nuts). The pa in the village seemed to go over well, and through coincidence and pre planning, the songs just magically seemed to hit at the right time. All in all, our guys had a blast, and for many of them it was their first airsoft event. Granted, now they are screwed, because they think all following ones will be this much fun, and might be disappointed.
One absolutely huge shout out needs to go to the unsung hero of this day; lady lynne, who loaned us her kia to get the trailer with all the goodies to the site from muskegon at the last minute. All our other tow vehicles had suffered breakdowns in the last three days leading up to fueling (including a radiator falling out on the way to get the trailer) so this lady was a complete god send. I don't think she reads the forums, as she had never heard of airsoft until she pulled into the driveway, but if you go to mayfaire renn fair in marshall this year, thank the nice lady at the ticket booth - she made our contribution possible.
That said, thanks to our guys, they did great. Thanks to Tino and Moped Man, you guys put on a great party. Huge thanks to the owners of Splatmandu, nice field and great folks! Thanks to all of you for coming out and playing, and thanks to the refs for working so we all could play! Thanks to the families and support crews that allowed us all to play, to crazy crow mags for bringing a great table of goodies to want, Ginos hotdogs (even though the generator failed, dang!) and anyone I may have forgotten.
Are you all ready for Northern Fire now? The RoadCrew will be back again with more crazyness!

The oil executive was definitely a handful for my protective detail! Kzoo Crew and a few others provided a wall of bodies for him most of the game. He did quite a good job playing the Texan Oil tycoon though!
