I've got a problem with my MP5 and I hope that someone would be able to provide some advice as to whats wrong.
It all began when I wanted to try my G3 motor, an ICS 2000, in my WELL MP5 with its stock motor. After replacing the stock motor, I plugged in the battery and pulled the trigger. I could hear the motor turning but it wasn't catching on to anything and I presumed this was due to the fact that it was slightly shorter or that in my G3, I had to use the motor adjustment screw.
Either ways, I tightened the motor plate as much as I could and pulled the trigger again. Things took a turn for the worse and there was a huge grinding sound. I'm pretty sure that the gears weren't aligned properly or only ever so slightly that the pinion gear is grinding the bevel gear.
Alarmed and hoping that everything would be alright, I replaced the stock motor and tried again. This time, there wasn't any grinding but I could hear the motor try to turn the gears but get stuck. It makes a click and then stops each time I pull the trigger, regardless of semi or auto.
I stripped the gun down to the gearbox and took a peek without opening it and could see that the bevel gear was fairly alright. I could see some shine where it made contact with the pinion gear but other than that looked fine or well enough. The gears were also all in place and was not knocked out of place.
My best guess is that it could be the anti-reversal latch but might be something else, I do hope that someone may shed some light on this.

Another question that I have in my mind that I would like answered is with regards to my G3. I got it from romaro off MIA and the body is a JG G3 RAS but the internals are CA with an ICS 2000 motor.
It was reported to be firing at 320FPS but I added a Prometheus MS115 spring which should bump the FPS higher to less than 400. However, during the Grand Opening it was chronoed at 280FPS with an 8.4v battery.
One thing that I noticed about the gearbox is that the cylinder has a hole at the side like an MP5 instead of being fully sealed which should be the case for guns with longer barrels.
Is the problem with the cylinder whereby there isn't enough compression/pressure thereby the lowered fps?
I've not chrono the gun with a 9.6v battery but I doubt the fps would increase.
This is a pretty long post and thanks for hearing me out.
