.Eagles Nest
Nov. 6th 2011
Golden Sand Golf Course,
2501 N Wilson Rd, Mears, MI 49436
Chrono and check-in starts at 9:00
Game starts at 10:30am
Cost $15
A small special forces camp along the Afganistan /Pakistan border called Camp Eagle has come under siege from heavy fighting by Taliban forces. Surrounded and cut off, thier only hope is a supply column who is desperately trying to fight thier way to them. Will they make it to them before the Taliban can over run the camp? Can the Taliban stop the resupply? Find out what happens in the Eagles Nest.......
This will a Milsim style event played on the undeveloped back nine at Golden Sands Golf Course. We will take the feild at 10:30 and not stop until the end of the day. This will mean that you need to carry everything you need with you onto the field. THERE WILL BE NO LUNCH BREAK, so bring it with you on to the field if you want to eat something. This game will run until around 4:00 and there will be no going back to the staging area at any point until the end of the game. This event is intended for mature players who are under the understanding that following orders and direction of thier unit commanders is key to play. There will be no lonewolfs or players doing "your own thing" unless directed by your commander. This is not a spray and pray type of event. Players need to understand that like real military situations, there will be down times or times where you need to stand guard duty, or fortify a position or other similar types of activity throughout the day. Not every minute will be a gun fight.
After the game, a free dinner will be served of either Hamburgers and chips, or Pizza, and drinks. This is why the price is $15.
There needs to be a minimum for 35 players or this event will not happen. That's why you have plenty of time to set your schedules around this event. If you only make it to one event all year, it should be this one, Just ask any of last years players. You can PM me to be added to the list of players. Please let me know which team you would like to be on. I may switch players to help keep it balanced.
There will be 2 teams playing on the field at the same time, each with thier own seperate objectives and props. The US Army will have two seperate groups during the game. A special forces team in camp Eagle wearing Multicam only, and a supply/ reinforcement group wearing ACU only. You have plenty of time to find cheap camo for these teams so there is no excuse for not getting it done. The second team will be the Taliban and they may come dressed in anything not in current use by American/ Nato forces. PLEASE COME DRESSED FOR YOUR TEAM. There should be plenty of ways for anyone to fit onto a team with out spending much money for uniforms.
FREE over night camping the night before for anyone who would like to come up early. It would be true camping with no facilites so you would need to bring everything you need for the night. Also if enough people camp, we might even play a few free night game skirmishes for the fun of it.
EVENT RULES;
WMiA standard FPS rules will be followed along with WMiA's eye protection rules.
There will be limits to the amount of ammo you bring onto the field, (depending on the team, more info to follow) and we will be limiting the number of hi-caps players can play with. Players can carry a maximum of 2 hi-caps and no other mags, or 1 hi-cap and up to 6 mid or low caps, or unlimited mid or low caps. NO BOX MAGS unless it is on a true support weapon.
There will only be one sniper and spotter allowed per team unless the number of players grows enough to warrent another set of snipers per team. So if you want to be the sniper for your team, don't wait around. Also you should be a seasoned sniper, and I will check before I stick a noob sniper on a team if there is an experianced one waiting.
Radios are highly recommended. It is a huge field and it is easy to get turned around on. Also no patrols or groups will be allowed to go out from base camp unless at least one person in that group has a radio for contact.
.
There will be more rules added as we progress towards the Nov. 6th date.
