Battle for Breedland III
The Breedland province is a small area of land, located between the Central American countries of Cesair and Domingo. Historically, Breedland has been a burden on both countries & neither Cesair, nor Domingo would take responsibility for the land. The poor economic status of its people & barren land had left Breedland an unclaimed and unrepresented territory. In 2008, Oil was found, beneath the Breedland soil. The people of Breedland elected their tribal elder, David Breed, as their new “President Elect” and turned to the United Nations, hoping to file the paperwork to be recognized by the world as an independent state. Before the world had chance to react, both Cesair and Domingo attacked, both hoping to claim the land as their own.
Cesair’s attack put them in control of the oil fields, while Domingo’s attack gained control of Breedland’s wetlands and government center. The land was divided and remained that way for almost a year. Over time, Cesair took full advantage of the oil fields, draining them to low levels, while never realizing that the real treasure was just a little farther down the road… Water!
Cesair is a land locked nation and it has always been hydrated through small rivers that run from the west, rivers that get their water from the marshlands of the Breedland area. After the first battle, Domingo controlled those wetlands and began to drain them. This caused the rivers in the Cesair nation to begin to dry. Cesair demanded a halt to the pumping, but Domingo refused to comply. A new battle raged on. Cesair attacked from the north, taking over the majority of the wetlands and shutting down two of the three pump stations that were sucking the life from their land. Meanwhile, Domingo countered by taking the oil fields, pressing west along the southern edge of Breedland.
Cesair pressed hard, trying desperately to cut the Domingo troops off from their own border. Manny on both sides died in the final moments of the bloodiest fire-fight in Breedland history….
2010’s game shall pick-up, right where we left off… That fire-fight is not over in the hearts of those who were in it. To them, it has simply been on “pause”.
