Hey everyone! Around Xmas time I'm switching over to Mid-Capacity Magazines. It would be very helpful if somebody could post instructions on how to lube the magazines, as I know you have to do this often to keep them working at their best ability. I've also heard that it's a good idea to lube all of the magazines before you even shoot a single shot out of them.
Thanks!

Alright, here's what I do.
Take a plastic ziplock bag, put about the amount of bbs that go in your midcap into the bag, and then you spray silicon oil in the plastic bag full of bbs.
Once you do that you pour the bbs into your speedloader and load your midcap. Let it sit for about 2-3 minutes or so, and then empty the mag into the plastic bag. You can repeat this about two times if you want the best results.
Hopes this helps man!

This Helps a lot Bro!
Question: Can you use the BB's after you have lubed mags with them?
Question 2: Can you use the same BB's to lube multiple mags?

1) Actually I just keep the bbs in the ziplock bag so you can re-use them if you buy some new magazines or your old mags get dry.
2) Yes, although after doing 6-7 magazines you should spray some fresh silicon oil into the bag.

My method of breaking in mags is to drop a few drops of silicone into the mag, load a third of the mag, more silicone, and repeat until full. Let the mags sit full for a week or so and then empty them.
DO NOT USE THOSE BBS IN YOUR RIFLE.
If you get silicone on the inside of your hop up bucking, it will really mess with your accuracy.
Blues method isnt bad, it just may make it so that you have too much silicone in the mag and it gets on your bucking even after using fresh bbs. I personally have never lubed a mag after the first time of breaking it in. Some mags I have used dont even need any breaking in at all.

Even though I know Mav swears by his MAG mid-caps ; ), I would like to add that I personally have had really good luck with King Arms' STANAG. It feeds like a dream and is a bit more sturdy feeling than it's counterpart from MAG.
That's just my opinion. Also, so far my Beta Project P-mags have been doing well. More on them in a few weeks.

Ive noticed that the MAG brand mags I bought recently were nowhere near the quality of the ones I had a couple years ago. I think that they may have dropped their quality a bit.
KA mags are pretty nice, I just have problems with them splitting at the seams when you start to fill them full.

Mav raises a very valid point about splitting. When I got my Echo 1 SCAR it came with one of their "Dogs of War" mid caps. It is metal and is always toward the front of my gear. You might want to check them out, Slappy.

Now in saying the aboved, what you do it a spray a very very small amount of silicon in the bb, loading tube in your mag, then take your unjamming rod and push the little nipple inside the tube down 2-3 times this will help move the silicon down the bb tube in the mag. Then load your mags. In doing this you being sure to get some on the spring as well, which will help prevent corriosion to the spring. The other thing is be sure to clean your mags after every use.

This Helps a lot Bro! Question: Can you use the BB's after you have lubed mags with them? Question 2: Can you use the same BB's to lube multiple mags? A1 - I wouldnt due to them collecting every bit of dirt and dust they can now, and to much of the lube in the mag can get up inside your hop up and mess that up as well. A2 - Remember these bb's are not going to collect dirt and dust everytime you load them into a speed loader and put them in your mags. Not a good Idea.

I have a set of MAG midcaps that are about 4-5 yrs old and they still work like a charm. However I clena my mags after every use to keep them working like they should. I also use KA Mids as well. They are both nice and I guess you go with what works.
