I'm planning on getting either a Raider Combat Machine or an Elite Force Ares M4. Does anyone know which is better?

That's a matter of an opinion. I have a Raider and I love it, but I've heard good things about Elite Force as well. Although, I've never owned one

I own a variant of the Raider (G4 A3) and I also love mine. That being said the Elite Force is a better deal (and I think slightly higher quality) than the Raider as it comes with 2 high caps, a QD vert grip, and a quick change sping gearbox. But they are both very good.

Well, Coming from a real Ares brand M4 owner, their internals are solid. Just a warning though, the gears, I heard from Gunny, don't handle high dump LiPoly batteries well.

I own three Ares M4's. I've had to replace the gear box (the gears are not replaceable by any other manufacturer) in all three, because I learned the hard way that high discharge lipo's, and Ares don't get along. However, my brother owns the same gun, and has run a 9.6 nhm nun-chuck battery in it for a year or better, and has yet to require service. He has not cracked open the gear box once since its purchase. I also have had zero problems with the new gear boxes, since I've gone back to a 9.6.
The quick change spring feature is nice if you plan on switching it out for milsim fps regulations, but other than than it's actually a pain in the butt owning an ares, because it is all real steel measurement, except for the grip. So any time you want a stock, or buffer tube, it creates a bit of a challenge.
G&G has a solid rep. And I haven't heard any bad experiences with this company. I recently purchased a MP5A5 from G&G, and I am amazed how solid it feels. Moto used it at Vicksburg Tactical last week, and it convinced him to go back to using AEG's. He couldn't stop talking about how well it performed.
Hope this helps bro. Good luck.

I am the proud owner of a G&G GR15 Raider blowback and I love it! I like them so much that I bought another one. the only thing I have had to replace was the spring (don't ask) and the piston. I've had the replica for over two years.
AS far as Ares goes I have heard nothing but good things besides exactly what Overkill mentioned above.

Thanks I think I'll get a Combat Machine because I already have an M4 mag (not sure where its from) and its cheaper.

While I do not own a M4 per-se (I own a SCAR which is built on the same gearbox and lower receiver) I can say from the reviews of all of my friends who have owned and do own G&G M4's that they are excellent replicas. If you can afford it, go on Airsoft GI and take a look at their G4 series rifles. They are an incredibly good value and I personally have heard nothing but good things about them.
