Hey guys!
Over the summer (at the Airhouse ironically) my TM Mp5 finally decided to strip a gear. It is relatively old (was purchased in 2005) and has probably close to 100,000 bb's on the ticker.
I'm thinking of making it a project gun, something that has relatively low (~300 ish FPS) velocity and a high RoF, but I'm not really knowledgeable in AEG tech. What sort of internals should I consider? I already am running a 11.1v LiPo in my G&G M4, but that is stock. What sort of internal preparation should the Mp5 need to be able to have a similar setup?
From my basic search, I feel I need:
- New motor (current is an EG700) - Gears (obviously) - Piston? - Rewire (16 gauge) with Deans connectors - 11.1v Lipo (with AB MOSFET)
I plan on not touching the barrel and hopup.
What advice do you guys have? Or, should I simply drop a new set of Guarder gears in it and keep it stock for a reliable back up?

Seriously dude id give It to maverick he can do all that himself but better, shimming it and AOE are kinda important in a gun which he does superebly well plus he can get you great deals on parts.

Nice advertisement, but I'm more than capable of doing it myself. I want the education on AEG repair/rebuild and this will facilitate it along with improve my MP5.
