Great start so far! By the way, where did you get those P42 fatigues? I've been trying to get my hands on a decent pair that is not ridiculously over-priced. I would also recommend getting the five-cell pouch(I have a 3-cell as well as a 5-cell) as it is much easier to pull mags out of than the longer 3-cell. Looking at your signature, you might also want to know that the 3-cell is slightly anachronistic for Tarawa '43. You're looking at somewhere in the neighborhood of Saipan '44.
EDIT: Nice newspaper!

I realize that.. but seeing as I'm skinny as Hell I can't carry a bunch of gear.. the 5 cell will take up too much room and will be uncomfortable for me. I can get them pretty cheap so I'll pick up a 5 cell in the near future. Plus, the normal airsofter won't tell the difference. I'm not a reenactor, or am I planning on being one lol. So for now the 3 cell will do.
Thanks, my grandma gave me that newspaper and a newspaper that was printed when the war ended. They're pretty cool.

Yeah I don't reenact either, it never really seemed like that much fun to me. There's a lot of really great people involved*, but I'd rather be shooting an actual non-lethal projectile such as an airsoft BB so it wouldn't turn into one of those kids-playing-war "I shot you!"/"No, I shot you!" scenarios. I'm a big guy(5' 9" and 230 lbs.), so the 5-cell works perfectly for me. Use whatever's better for you.
*minus the "Living History" knuckleheads who took themselves too seriously around the turn of the century, and also seemed to think that every WWII veteran served in the 506th PIR, 101st Airborne Division. Go to a reenactment and count how few infantrymen there are. As a result, they must ALWAYS do the hedgerows of Normandy. It's started to piss people off, including myself.

Yea I'm 5'6" and 105 lbs hahah minus the "Living History" knuckleheads who took themselves too seriously around the turn of the century, and also seemed to think that every WWII veteran served in the 506th PIR, 101st Airborne Division. Go to a reenactment and count how few infantrymen there are. As a result, they must ALWAYS do the hedgerows of Normandy. It's started to piss people off, including myself. RIGHT?! That's how it is with WWII airsofters too. Thanks a lot Band of Brothers

I consider that series to be the best war movie(if you can call it that) ever made, but a lot of people in that time-frame of film-making over-looked infantrymen entirely. What they should have at least tried to show was the 34th Infantry(which my impression is faithfully based on) at Monte Cassino in Italy, Possibly the absolute worst weeks of combat US combat soldiers endured in the entire European Theatre. It was a hopeless attempt to take a defensive line completely surrounded by mountains from the low ground. It took the time from November to March for Comonwealth forces to finally push through. Of course, it wasn't unique enough for the likes of the Greatest Generation Foundation or Steven Spielberg to take an interest in it.
