I'm looking to get more info on equip. Do people generally buy high caps or mids? How many mags do you guys like to carry? do you guys carry extra batt. on you or just leave them in the truck? What about tach. gear? I've got just a ton of stuff from my military days and thinking maybe some of this would come in handy. If you want to give me a call so we could talk 269-833-6113 Thanks. Andy

It depends on the particular game your playing. I was in the Marine Reserves only some years ago, therefore I like to imagine each game as an actual mission. How would you imagine it? Most milsim games are as follows: 1 high-cap or unlimited mid to low-caps. I'd stick with the mid-caps for two reasons. Realism and the quantity of ammunition you will carry. I carry about 15 magazines, at around 120 rounds each. You do the math, versus on high cap at 350 rounds. As for batteries, I carry three total on a milsim. My main battery is a LiPo, than I also carry two NiMH 1600 mAh batteries in my utility pouch. Equipment is based on your preference. If your going on a long recon mission, would you carry light or heavy? Check out my loadout in the Photo and video gallery under domenick. Thats normally the rig I carry. Hope that helps.

very nice, I can see I've got bucks to spend, I'm looking at mid caps and being new to this whole thing I have no idea as to ..say what is a good set of mags, but then I've got my kids I'm trying to hook up also which I think I'll get them high caps. I see stuff on GI that gets 4-5 stars but might be plastic, any thoughts on plastic mags. And do you mostly order your your equip.? We've been to Youngs and that place is pricey. Thanks Andy

Plastic mags work just as well as metal mags. I almost exclusively order my gear online.
