I was looking at these actually that and the Springfield 1911 but carrying a 1911 around every day would suck. This looks like a nice pistol plus you can always trust Springfield they make great stuff.

A 1911 is just too large. Sure you can carry one, but why would you want to when they make a Springfield XD subcompact in .45 ACP? I like small, light weight, fully featured, easy to carry pistols. Not to mention there is 1 metric shit ton of upgrades, addons, and accessories for the Springfield XD series.

As you know, I carry a full-size 1911. It's actually a REALLY easy pistol to carry. It's one of the thinnest profile pistols made in .45acp.
Never really been a big fan of the XD, I had one, it broke twice. After it came back from Springfield the second time, I sold it.
That said, I'm lovin the HK 45C. So night and lightweight! It's also a $1050.00 dollar pistol though.
I really like the Smith and Wesson M&P 45 too. Have you bought your pistol yet? Check out the M&P Compact before you buy! I have the M&P Mid-Compact, it's the compact slide on a full-size frame. Had I not bought the HK 45C, I was going to get the M&P 45 Compact to go with the Mid-Compact.

I checked out the M&P, but it is just not comfortable for me. Im not a huge fan of the safety either. With the XD, I can just draw and Im ready to fire. The XD draws nicer for me as well.
