Even if it seems like a stupid question, go ahead and ask.

So after reading all the info I have found in two days I have come to a conclusion... AEG are the best kind of guns to have, then green gas in the spring? To think 2 days ago i didn't know squat about this kind of stuff. But why do fields only want you to use white bbs? One more question, on some youtube videos when people reload they go to the bottom of the clip and start winding somthing.. what is that doing?

I was new to this as of a few weeks ago myself...
BB talk...BBs come in diferent weights, most common being .20 and .25 gram.
-EDIT- never use .12 BBs in anything but a Walmart Special, it will ruin it.
.20 gram= less acurate BUT higher velosity(means it goes farther). .25 gram= less velosity BUT higher acuracy(means it shoots straighter).
there are other weights but these are most common, and as for color, white BBs are easier to see when shooting, so you can follow your shot and adjust to hit what your trying to.
And as for the winding of the clip... its exactly that, there is no spring in it to force the BBs up to the gun, so you just pour the BBs into the clip in and give it a few flicks on the winder and your on your way. the wheel spins a drum that pushes the BBs to the gun.
I'm not positive on this but I'm kinda close I think...lol Maybe somone can enlighten us both a little.

Special ed is mostly right... BB Talk Depending on what type of gun you are using depends on what type of BB's you should be using. ~240-350 fps = .20 gram bb's ~300-425 fps = .23 gram bb's ~350-480 fps = .25 gram bb's ~400-500 fps = .28 gram bb's ~475-600 fps = .30- .40 gram bb's (snipers only) I don't think I have ever seen anything saying white bb's are the only bb's allowed. But this could be for a couple reason mainly having to do with you and OTHERS seeing that they are bb's (aka people know you aren't shooting bullet). Magazines People wind the bottom of SOME magazines. High Cap magazines have a reservoir that you pour bb's into then you wind the spinner on the bottom to get them into the main chamber of the magazine. THEN- there are MID cap and LOW cap magazines. These are more "realistic" holding less ammo and have to be fed into usually using a speed-loader or a loading tube. Low cap= closest to realistic. Mid cap is about double of realistic or more (most the time). GUN TYPES AEG, Gas, Spring Can't tell you which ones is "better" then the others It really has to do with what you want in your rifle and how much you want to spend. AEG- are the most used because they are the most well know and have the most variety in the gun. Gas- require more maintenance and aren't as popular at the moment. They are growing more popular now because or the more realistic effects you have with these replicas (recoil and mag size). Spring- they are springers.... simple easy and cheap... but they only fire once...obviously. For a bolt action sniper rifle it is nice because its very simple and also realistic. Any other questions feel free to ask...Most of us have spent way to much time online looking at airsoft and know a little to much about it now.... But we are always excited to share our information with people! Her is a nice guide by what I would say is the best airsoft store online.... www.airsoftgi.com/information.php?info_id=43And before you buy a rifle ask on the forum first so you dont get screwed over and buy a crappy walmart AEG.

I have heard NOTHING but good things about the FLAK goggles. From what I have seen also they never fog up but sometimes they do get moisture on the lens... but not fog. seem like a favorite of most players
Also I would recomend some type of face protector so you dont lose a tooth like me ;D
