Thank you to all who attended! If you did not have fun on this field, you need to have your pulse checked! It had so much to offer. My only regret is that I had to ref the game because I really wanted to be in there on the tan side.
Final Score:
NAM: 630 points
Lower Canadian Resistance: 1020 points
The Canadians finally won something not hockey-related! Congratulations to both sides. There were high-points and low-points thoughout the game but in my opinion this game keeps the AofK Standard set high!
And we broke the record for attendees at Area 51! Most ever at an airsoft game there! Great turnout. Reaper is a beast, and Archrival is my hero!

Despite the crushing defeat, i thoroughly enjoyed myself at Area 51. The field is amazing!! I am not usually a fan of Milsims/Field games, but this was definitely worth the drive up north. I really enjoyed playing with everyone on the Tan team! They were professional and honorable players. A lot of high points for me on saturday, A castle charge/clearing, a 300 yard belly crawl flanking move with all of Cry Havoc, some epic fights at the castle and dude ranch for the "Hold the points" Mission and many more that i can't think of. I particularly liked the Village's "CQB-ish" feel. As a matter of fact, I used a 330 fps gun all day and never had any trouble with distance. Unfortunately I heard a fair amount of belly-aching on both teams for people not calling hits and such. I personally did not experience anyone on my team not calling hits as well as anyone I hit on the green team not calling hits, so I put this down to just regular frustration. A few times I was singled out as not calling hits and some more belly-aching occurred, but with a ref hovering next to me the whole time he was able to clear me as not hit (unfortunately not able to clear the frustration). What made a HUGE difference in the organization of the Tan team was the lack of radios. Very few Tan players had radios (Cry Havoc included ) and this in large part contributed to a lot of frustration and given the right communication, the game could have turned out very differently. Radios are a MUST for field games and I strongly suggest getting one if you do not already have one. Very friendly staff at Area 51 and the Reffing was top notch (as always). Objectives were given clearly and efficiently to my team and adjusting the game-play (moving up spawn points, cutting down spawn times etc.) was effective and smooth. The raffle was a great idea and was quite fun to see everyone win some stuff. Grats to Drux for the AK-74u and to Shreve for the Well MP5k!! Also to Chavo for the 3 kill rags hahaha! Overall I loved the field, the camaraderie of the Tan team and the Green team for playing very well and giving me and my team an amazing challenge. I hope to see everyone again and I plan on coming back to Area 51 and making it a field of victory next time.

Thank you guys so much for hosting an awesome game in my area. Everyone I talked to had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the game. You guys did an excellent job reffing and I hope that you choose to host another game up north! And I enjoyed kicking tan's ass. My personal props to Tino's hosting abilities and his ability to draw a huge crowd. I will be going to the next game in Three Rivers, and will bring enough ammo!
Viva la resistance!

this was my first big event and i loved it, i was the sniper on tan with the upgraded l96 with a silencer. i got a chance to take some amazing shots and meet some awesome new players and honestly it was a great experience that sort of reinstalled my faith in airsoft as my choice of hobby.
i totally agree with the lack of communication theory as to tans loss, at one point we had an actual runner currying information from squad to squad. i definitely didn't see much deviation in skill or equipment along team lines and i never felt like i or the team around me was loosing, i think green just followed the scenario better and gained the "points" more efficently.

I'd like to start by saying I had a great time. The field's terrain features and layout alone were worth the 4 and a half hour drive. There were plenty of skirmishes driven by good objective creation which should have given everyone plenty of trigger time as well as use of the field. Now I have some constructive criticisms. I really hope they're taken that way as I think the op went pretty well, but maybe these small and easy to implement things might push it to an even higher standard than what everyone has already come to expect. KZoo guys please don't feel like I'm kickin at you, there is a reason I drove that far to play with you all in the first place. Logistics: 1. The bathroom facilities. Having spent quite some time in the military I've dropped a deuce in some pretty nasty places but I have never seen a crapper in that bad of shape. I don't want to even imagine what those poor girls were having to do in that hell hole. 2. Underage drinking. I'm sure eyes are rolling at this but if ya take a step back and think of what would happen if one minor got hurt or hurt someone u/i on those grounds....holy s**t. I was a kid once too, but all of the adults know what happens when kids get busted drinking and you're present. Organization 1. Uniform regs. This was my tan teams issue mainly. I think there were roughly 50% of the team actually wearing a tan uniform. There were black t-shirts on both teams and there were people on my team in all black and or woodland. Big time confusion from 75 yards through the woods. Maybe if we could emphasize in the event postings that colors are to be enforced? 2. Team arrangement. Once formation was held I heard some murmurs that it was KZoo and some other smaller organized squads verse the rest on tan. I didn't see skill set being so much of an issue, but it definitely created communication issues on tan. "The rest " on tan typically had no radios, hadn't played there before, and had no idea who each other were (fall back to color issues.). I'm thinking this stuff would have to be addressed in the sign up / registration phase. If it's a " my team vs. your team " event, I wanna know ahead of time so I can bring a team, lol!!! In closing I think most would agree that if you know what "IRENE" is, you want to play there. There is no reason Tino's events can't hold us all to those same standards. Organize it like it's your daughters wedding. Ref it like the insurance guys are hiding in the bushes, and show up and play as professional as the military men and women you're pretending to be. Overall good event, I'll see you all again I hope.

dear all,
ok first of all I had some good fun at this game!! I would like to comment on the uniform issues as well though. I think there was a lot of confusion by a lot of people that went to this game as to how strict the uniform requirements were. This was a milsim game so in my mind I really do expect everyone to were the right uniform to help on issues like this. The main issues I saw were for example was a tan player in full green minus a brown shirt or even a full green player running with the tan. Now if this was a rec game or a small regular event than it should be ok if some people don't wear fully the right uniform but this was a milsim and it should have been taken more serious. I feel if you can at least wear like tan pants and lets say a brown shirt then you should be ok. Being a milsim people should really take it more serious. I heard a lot of complaints from my team the green side about these issues, so all I ask is that if you want to come to a milsim like this please wear a uniform closer to the required one so it makes it funner for everyone.
Other than those issues I had. I think this was a pretty fun event and look forward to the next one. See you on the field the next time!

Hey Everyone,
I have to say that the event at Area 51 was a blast. I had an amazing time and I can't wait to play with the Kzoo crew again!
Being on the Tan team as the C.O. was quite interesting. I agree with the whole camo issue, as multicam from a distance looks a lot like woodland, and we could never keep straight if the people dressed in black were on our team or not. Radios were a problem, too. I had two of them with me, but my batteries were basically dead. Something I, personally, will have to learn from. Have to work on communication in team to make everything run smoothly.
The refs were amazing, they were all great to work with. Like we were warned, if one wasn't right there, they would be ready to head up at a moment's notice. They were all nice, and everyone knew what was going on.
I liked the fact that as the tan team was getting beat, the refs would change spawn rules, depending on how bad it was. From making respawn 10 mins to 5 mins, to even immediate respawn when it got bad enough.
The artillery strike idea was amazing, and I think that I may have to use it a little bit, if thats okay. =)
Teamwork was amazing, though a little bit more planning on squads and such before the game started would have been better. Yet again, something everyone will have to work on.
So, overall, all that needs to be worked on is Camo restrictions and communication. These should be easy enough to fix.
Overall, it was a great game, and thank you to the Kzoo Crew for putting it on!
Kudos to Tino for running this event and making everything run smoothly! I can't wait to sling plastic with you all again!

As far as the Camo thing goes, I killed two of my own guys because they had woodland camo pants and brown shirts..
However, the guys in all black were on tan team the entire time. They had no green on, and any confusion would involve a very poor memory.

Nicely put Carvin... Over all this field was awesome. I would really like to go back and play there again. Underage drinking, the only people I saw drinking where 21 and over but I do understand the concerns. Tino and Bill, I think you guys did everything in your power to make it a great game and as fair as possible with as little refs as you had. Thnaks to Arch for reffin.
OVER ALL: field:10/10 objectives:8/10 players:6/10 All in all I had a really good time.

next time make it a red and blue team and use tape on an arm as identification. you cant expect people, especially snipers like myself, to knowingly wear a camouflage that puts them at a HUGE disadvantage in a landscape.

Lads and lasses, this event is what we would like to call a "Milsim", there will be no usage of color coordinated arm-bands. That being said; I agree with the comments about uniform strictness. It lacked a little bit. There was some difficulty telling who was on what side due to some of the mixed camouflage. This will be taken into account, and for our next games we'll be sure to enforce matching tops and bottoms and/or "mercenary" load-outs for whichever team they might belong to. Communication can only be enforced so much by those running the event, at least when it comes to inter-team communication. The most the event hosters can do is make sure that all the refs on the field are talking to each other, and asking players to bring radios to make it easier for each team to communicate with each other. It is up to the players to bring radios to ensure that their team can get out objectives and talk to each other.

Buy a ghille suit. Then nothing say's camo like have blue tape all over my gear.I had to suck it up and wear tan I didn't see it as a disadvantage. I say strict camo restriction is a must

Wow. Thats all I can say for my first large-scale event! The entire game ran smoothly and fast. I know that I had a few issues of my then "soon to be girlfriend", and current girlfriend now, didnt have the right color camo, so I had her turn her jacket inside out, because it was a light color on the inside. I believe that you should ask people to bring other sets to possibly loan out if they can. That would help the people that dont have THAT kind of camo. On the note of communication, I know of only about four people with radios on the entire tan team. Communication is a MUST! Have a list of hand signals everyone should know, like basic ones. Move forward, hold position, movement commands (ie "2 groups, one left, one straight"), and a "go get backup" command. I believe that might help communication for the people that dont have radios. Its just my opinion. As for command, set up the CO, Regiments, and Squads with that many people on a team. It would make it a lot easier to get around. Make sure the Squad members watch their Squad Leader. I use these kind of tactics in playing Day of Defeat: Source (WWII PC Game) because we are a Realism unit (We teach full on military tactics to our members, from people who have been, or are in the real military). It helps movement and tactical attacks greatly. Leading is the most important part of having large-scale groups. Leading takes skill, communications between members, and tactics. I know the military guys on the tan team, the ones from Detroit, had excellent communication between themselves. I like their style. They used real military jargon and tactics. All together, the game was one of the best games I've been to, in tactics, gameplay, and fun. Keep up the good work KZOO Crew! I plan on joining you guys a lot more often from the experiences at that game! Respectfully, Colt
