I have to say I have been doing a TON of airsoft shopping online these days, and by an large my experience has been foot-to-groin action for the most part. Then I found Airrattle.com. These guys are an Ohio based airsoft retailer, and as we all know there is nothing solid in the way of near by airsoft companies. I will first make a short pro-con break down, then if you wish to keep reading a more specific experience study.
---Pros---
Super fast delivery to Michigan
Inexpensive and 100% price match garauntee (apples to apples)
Engaged and responsive sales/customer service people
Location service for any item they don’t have in stock (have yet to try this)
All items housed on premises, no bs drop shipper nonsense (oh we will have it next week, or the week after...or you know, whenever china starts making it again)
Freebies and specials
Rotating boneyard
5% discount if you review an item (also can be seen as a con, see below)
---Cons---
Somewhat limited selection (esp with accessories and bbs)
Crappy looking site
No Paypal (correction they DO take paypal, they sent me an email about it Mah bad)
Not a ton of Upper tier products (Tokyo Marui, KWA, Classic Arms)
No real community system (forums) and the incentive based reviews seem forced
Ok, thats the short of it, read on for the full monty....
What I have ordered from them:
---First order---
Jg M4 s-system: $139.95
Shipping: $19.03
---Second order---
Galaxy MK5: $84.95
JG Advanced Mk5 sd6: $109.95
Cyma red dot: $5.95
Universal Smart charger: $23.95
Shipping: $31.10
The first order I made with them I ordered on a Saturday night and Monday afternoon it was at my doorstep (I live in Kalamazoo) The second order I placed on a Monday morning at noon and it showed up at my door 24 hours later! Keep in mind both of these orders were standard FedEx home delivery, no expidited-overnight-special handling bs that we have all become accustomed to with online airsoft retailers. I also noticed that you can add a free tshirt to your order if it is over $100, no biggy there, but still, free is free While they have a somewhat limited catalog, I have spoken to their marketing folks and they are planning a rebuild after x-mas to expand their selection. Their website looks really chincy (I am a webdesigner so I am biased) but inspite of what looks like some cookie cutter ebay prostore set up, these guys are johhny on the spot when it comes to no frills, no bs product sales. I highly reccomend them.
