Sick 'em Steve. When your running low on aspirin you put it on a grocery list and get it at Meijer, Walmart, etc. Where it is reasonably priced. When you have a splitting headache, and you nowhere near your house, you stop at a gas station, and pay the same amount you would for a whole bottle at the grocery store, for two f'ing capsules! Rippoff? Maybe, but your paying for convenience. Young's Supply is no different. You get the gun that day, no waiting at home tracking your package.
Besides the fact that the advice and service that Steve will provide you with (Monday, Thursday, and Friday) is worth every penny extra that you spend in the store. He is the ONLY reason I shop there even though I can order that same thing online. The man will sell you what's best for you, not what yields the most profit.
P.S. Stay away on Tuesday, and Wednesday. You'll have to desk with you know who, and whatever mood he's in! LOL

Actually, I wasn't trying to "sick" anyone. Really I was just making a general comment about retail Vs. online sales. Everything I said was fact. I know some dealers have the same prices in-store as online but if I had to guess, I would say more do not. Kinda like I can buy a GLOCK handgun online for $455.00 with free shipping and have my FFL handle the transfer for $15 dollars or I can buy one locally at On Target for $569.99 plus tax. I could order online but I give up the ability to see the ACTUAL gun I'm getting ahead of time and I also give up the ability to take it back to On Target and have them repair it if for example it's having failures to extract. I get stuck dealing with the online dealer or paying to ship it off to GLOCK. I've worked on quite a few local businesses webpages over the years and here is what I've noticed. When you deal with a new "start up" business, one that plans to try to mainly do online sales, but they also happen to have a local walk in store, they tend to have more comparable prices between the two. When I've dealt with businesses who had a local walk-in store for 5, 10 or 20 years and now they have decided to get into online sales, they tend to have higher prices in-store because they started with retail based prices but now they have this webpage that needs to compete with OTHER online businesses and they do get this fact for online sales but they don't want to drop there in-store prices to the same level as there online prices because those price structures they always had in the past have always worked for them as a retail store. Kinda like, if it ain't broke, don't fix it you know...? People just need to realize no matter WHAT business your dealing with, if they have higher prices in-store, locally it doesn't mean they are ripping you off, that's just retail. The consumers always have the option to order online just know you might not get the same level of support if a problem comes up you would locally. I always try to help my customers. I always have. Come in when I'm here, I try to help The reason I'm currently only here Monday, Thursday and Friday is that we just had a new baby a few months back. I might be back full time here shortly as the holiday ways pick up unless I find a local job (I live in Grand Rapids now and the Kzoo drives killing me). That said, Yong is Yong. I really have no comment about that issue other then that. His sense of humor is, well, a bit different. Some people take offense to it, others just shrug is off. Again, nothing I've said is really in defense of Young's/Empire Airsoft at all. It's just a general comment about online Vs. retail.

I have been dealing with yong for 20+ yrs. I enjoy his banter and I give it right back. I have no intentions of not shopping there. If I am looking for something and it is right there and I have the dough, I usually by it, rather than using my "CREDIT CARD" on line. Don't forget if your buying on line and using your credit card and not paying it off every month you are paying interest and paying a hell of alot more than at Yong's store.

Eh. I think the number one thing for me is customer service. Prices come second after that and every time I have been there I have bad encounters. I don't know if he is trying to take advantage of me or not but there has been times when I have had to use my brothers Droid to show him what he told me something costs. for example: I was looking to buy a propane adapter and went to his website first. For the package of the adapter and silicone and such it said 19.99. I went to the store and he tried saying it was 39.99 when the price tag said 29.99. I said "Are you sure you're not mistaken? The price tag says 29.99" And he told me I should "ask my pretty mom" I was like wdf is this crap. I then preceded in leaving. I still don't know if he was hitting on my mom or trying to be nice but it was weird. A second time my Marine brother went there and asked how much they payed for Bdu's. He told him "1$ pants. 1$ top." . I don't see how this is anywhere near reasonable. However I have had good experiences with Kdogg, even though I have only asked him questions.

I do not think he was hitting on your mom, he was probably trying to "butter up" your mom with complements so you'd buy. I have had no problems with Mr.Young at all, I think he is a nice guy. the only issue with customer services that Ive had was with Steve, I believe it was Steve. He is the guy that works in the back of the store, heavier built guy. I told him I had 150$ to spend on a gun and he was doing stuff on the computer, I dont know if he was just stressed out with too many online orders or was just in a bad mood but the service was not that good. I did find what i was looking for ( KJ works Sig P226 GBB ) it was a good quality gun, never broke once on me. I dont have it today because i sold it to my brother. I do know for a fact that the prices are about 10$ more in the store then online but if you think about it he is just adding the shipping to make an extra buck. Never the less I am still going to buy at Youngs store.

Oh he wasn't hitting on your mom I'm sure. He does that with ALL the airsoft kids moms. He is just trying to be friendly but unfortunately, it's lost on some people. Some people take it the wrong way is all.
