Hey Maverick, all of the guns that Im looking at to buy have a 350-380 FPS range, therefore I would not be able to use them in Airhouse Games. Once I get the gun, is there a way that you or I could bring it down to a steady 340-350? Thanks!

Yea, it is very simple to do. All you need to do is purchase a spring rated under 350 fps along with the rifle and I can install it for you. I would recommend a Guarder SP100 spring, and if you want to play it extra safe a Guarder SP90, which is what I run in my CQB rifles.
However, some rifles are advertised as shooting X fps, and when they arrive and you chrono them, they are actually shooting X-30 fps.

Alright thanks a lot dude, Ill make sure to do that. Now, are there events at the airhouse ever that your allowed to use guns over 350 fps?

No sir. The reason being that it is a safety issue. 350 fps is actually rather high for CQB places. Most play with a limit being either 328 fps (1 joule of energy), or 300 fps. I keep my CQB rifles at about 280 to 300 fps. The difference in range between 300 and 350 fps is very nominal. With my mp5k shooting 290 fps, I can shoot clear across the airhouse.
I know that I do not like getting accidently lit up with a gun close to the fps limit and since I do not need the extra fps, I keep mine low in case some situation happens and someone gets shot point blank or so.

^ This, and that is why if I think someone is just around the corner, I switch to semi-auto, so I can get the job done with minimal ammo used.
In fact, Tino's input is needed. I would be up for a day, just to test the waters, if everyone just used semi-auto, just to see how it goes. Then see if people prefer that.

Alright Maverick. How much do you think it would cost though for you to do that work on my gun?

Tino's input is needed. I would be up for a day, just to test the waters, if everyone just used semi-auto, just to see how it goes. Then see if people prefer that. We have done it before. The only problem with that is AEG's are not made to run on semi-auto for extended periods of time (Maverick correct me if I'm wrong). When you continously run semi on a AUTOMATIC Electric Rifle, I'm pretty sure, that chances of the piston locking are increased among other things.

That is a possiblity as some player short stroke their triggers (which means half pull) and this is what results in the locking of a piston. I dont have a problem running in semi do to a mosfet which is great for this.
If you are having that issue you can get a mosfet for a decent price and set it for like a 3rd burst instead of having full auto. Just an idea there.

Airsoft guns are designed to run in either semi or full auto. Half pulling the trigger can result in the piston pulling back and holding stress in a position it was not designed to hold for a period of time in. This can result in a lock up.
However, I run semi auto all the time, switching to full only when I need to for say multiple targets at once. I enjoy semi auto games because the players cannot spray nearly as badly as some do. Aslo adding an AB MOSFET assures that the gearbox cycles the proper amount with every pull of the trigger. I make these MOSFETs and install them as well.
As for the cost of a spring change, I charge $10.

Alright, once I get a gun, I guess Ill make my first priority to get a new spring and get it to you.

A 1joule will bring you in around 300fps.

1 Joule is 328 fps with .2s. Depending on the airseal and hop up, your actualy fps will be around the 328 mark.
